The fire at Holt Heath has left a lasting impression on all of us and whilst the Fire & Rescue Service maintain their presence along with the National Trust over the coming days, it is vital that we remain alert and prepared to act swiftly should any signs of danger re-emerge.

Their ongoing presence provides reassurance, but the wider community also plays a crucial role:

• If you see smoke, flames, or anything else that causes concern, ensure your safety first by moving to a secure location away from the hazard.

• Dial 999 immediately to report your concerns. Provide clear information about what you have seen and where, so responders can act without delay.
